The Chronicles of “Just A Woman”

A Remises of the Past, Pensive Thoughts of the Present & Wistful Hopes of the Future

Happy 3rd Birthday Damir !!

Posted by Ange on January 9, 2010

My Dearest Little One,

Your presence has brought us immense joy and it is also a wonder how time pass so fast that you are already 3. It only seems yesteryear when I first gave birth to you and yet today I am still calling you baby when you are already at ‘horrendous’ 3 ;).

Your everything brings joy to me, lightness to my heart and smiles to my face. Till now I still can’t help loving the twinkle in your eyes, your cute & silly expression when posing for the camera and your “opps-I-am-sorry-mum” grin. All these just make my heart melt and smile again no matter what you have done wrong at your age now. Even yelling out your name when you have done something not-so-nice brings amazement and wonder to me how you mange to do that.

You are smart, observant and really independent for your age. Most of the time, you know when I am busy and will quietly play with your own toys or do your own colouring. Even when as a baby, you will quietly crawl to the toys’ room and play with your toys quietly when you wake up 1st.

Mummy is seriously lucky to have you and I love you tons. So does dad and your big brother Clemens.

I have been busy and can’t bring you out but I still hope in years to come, you will still be my Happy Baby ! 🙂

Happy Birthday to the Baby of the Family 🙂

Loving You Very Much

The Birthday Party

Posted by Ange on January 8, 2010

With Classmates & Big Brother

It is not yet Dmair’s birthday today but we had it celebrated at school for him a day earlier. He was sure as excited as he can be since it is his 1st time celebrating it in school with his new friends and teacher.

He absolutely adore his “Toot Toot train” cupcakes themed in the colours of white, blue & green from The Patissier. I have ordered cakes from them for a few years already and yet they have not failed to disappoint. Each time, when the cake is delivered, I am still as surprised, impressed and amazed. The best thing in receiving their orders is seeing the expression on my boys’ faces. Those wide grins and endless thank you and kisses are really priceless.

Anyway today, there is really the teachers to thank for, for making the kids all so happy. Their patience with the kids are really commendable. Their tolerance level for the messiness and rowdiness amongst the kids are what I can never imagine.

Thanks Teachers for making this few hours such a memorable one for my little ones and the others as well.

    Damir’s Turning 3

Posted by Ange on January 7, 2010

Hmm... Should I share or keep?

In 2 days time, Damir will be turning 3. Over the years, his bubbly personality has brought us lots of joy, laughter and of course lots of yelling too. I seriously can’t imagine how he can get away with all the ‘evil’ things he has done by just using his impish smile and full-of expression eyes.

Anyway my man is not around and I have decided to be fair and throw him a small school party like what I have done for Clemens too 🙂

Tonight is the night we started packing up the goodie bag as usual 🙂

Sheesh… This is what being a mum is all about 🙂

    These Days… …

Enjoyment means being with the boys

I have been on childcare leave cum annual leave for about 2 weeks already and seriously wish that I do not have to go back to work. Colleagues must be envious thinking that that I must be having a whale of my time.

Well in a way I am enjoying myself tremendously with my boys, getting them back in routine, training them to sleep by themselves without my presence before our home is ready. However in the midst of enjoyment, there are many other things to be seen to.

Yup my home has been under renovation since the tenant move out 2 weeks ago. Things have been going slow with all the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Right now, we are trying to get it ready before the Chinese New Year. Purchases for the house make over has been rushed but fun. With the help from my dad, there were many stuff that we had learn.

However right now, with all the hacking, the house is sure messy. But yet with the new tiles going up, it has made the place look much brighter than before. I am so looking forward to the new kitchen, bathrooms and master bedroom. The designs are out but I am keeping them 1st. Right now shall be only the before photos, process photos and sneak of the kitchen tiling works. 🙂

Anyway dear, this is also to let you know that there is much washing and cleaning up to do when you return to Singapore 🙂

    1. The Original

    2. The Hacking Process

    3. The Tiling Process

Of course this is not the end of it. There are much to be done like a fresh new coat of paint and others…….

    The First Day of School

Posted by Ange on January 5, 2010

With Dad before he leaves for Brunei again for a month

It is finally back to school for the boys and the 1st day for year 2010. Though it is not Clemens 1st time attending school, it is definitely the 1st time for Damir. I was having the jitters for the night as I recalled last year saga for Clemens. Moreover, today time was running short as I had to rush my husband to the airport for his 4pm flight. Our backup plan was for him to take the taxi if Damir is going to cry non-stop.

Thank god, plan B need not be used as he just walked into the classroom as if it has been a daily routine for him. He even stuck out his tongue and held out his little palms for the teacher to check for H1N1 as if he had done a thousand times before and with that, my husband and I just broke out into mega smiles. Anyway, after saying good bye to him, I just told the teacher that I have to make a move and should anything happen just get Clemens from next door to pacify him 1st.

Upon returning on time to pick Damir up, he was all on smiles and his teachers were all full of praises for him on his independence.

All along, we knew Damir has always been the braver one, the dare-devil one but yet without Clemens to show him and to guide him, I doubt this could be achieve too.

I seriously love how the brothers complement each other, Clemens to lead, guide and assure Damir, Damir to instill the love, responsibility and sensitiveness within Clemens.

I have much to learn from them- My Boys 🙂
